Canon Personality:

🥀 Anastasia is, to put it simply, a hot mess. Violent, impulsive and living solely for spite, she's a disaster in motion with no intention of stopping. Morality is a suggestion and one she doesn't consider often, and violence is always the answer - preferring to resolve disputes with blood rather than words. Luckily the targets of any violent outbursts are towards those that can fight back, seeing little worth in messing with those she considers weak. But even they aren't spared from her saying whatever is on her mind, no matter how cruel or biting it might be.

🥀 Content to follow her own whims, and is only likely to listen to those she sees value in. She's hardworking and driven, but usually that means she's solely focused on her own goals without any care of what others want. Another downside is that she rarely thinks thing through; her emotions tend to overrule any logical decisions, and she's very much driven by them. If there's consequences? Oh well! She has the capability to be intelligent and cunning, but just can't be bothered the majority of the time.

🥀 Anastasia is at least capable of being friendly, and she has a cheerful and outgoing personality so she finds it easy to speak to others. And when she does become close to others, she's deeply affectionate and loyal, doing anything she can to make them happy. They mean the world to her, even if she might still be a bit of an ass to them sometimes - but it's at least affectionate teasing. She especially has a soft spot towards those who are in similar circumstances, and is actually surprisingly domestic at times.

🥀 Under all that is a very broken woman who struggles with a variety of trauma, suffering with her identity as both an abomination and an experiment, something meant to be a vessel and nothing more, on top of her growing desperation to save her siblings from fates worse than death. Her hold on her own humanity is fragile, and she lives only to kill her father and god, with no cares about what happens to her in the process - it doesn't matter if her life burns out in the end, so long as she can finally achieve her goal.

🥀 Born to a Krusnik researcher known as Dumah, Ana's early life went as well as could be expected - her mother was never a figure in her life, and Ana has her hunches that she was disposed of. Due to her upbringing, she came to few all the tests and experiments of Krusnik as "normal" and had issues viewing life in any other way.

🥀 As one of the eldest in the facility, one of her jobs was to look after younger kids that were brought in. Through them she showed glimpses of her actual personality, and became very attached to them; over time, she started to view them as her younger siblings and would at times bend the rules for them. Unfortunately, this still wasn't enough to stop her from being moulded into a loyal agent of Krusnik, especially after she started to show "divine" traits.

🥀 Then The Raid happened while Ana was away on a mission, and when she returned to find the kids dead, one of the survivors pointed to Abel being culprit (she didn't give two shits about the other agents though whoops). When she tracked him to Kaisou and saw him... crying over a donut, with one of the kids she looked after laughing and smiling, it was enough to basically prompt a breakthrough. Realising just how horrific the... everything she and the kids she went through was, she decided to leave the city and try to track down her old man. Just to talk. Yeah.

🥀 Though with a lack of skills to really get normal employment, she found work as a sellsword with a mercenary crew. This was soon disbanded, and Ana hoped from place to place where she could - avoiding the Black Order trying to seek her out because one cult was enough thanks. During her travels, she learned of others destroying remaining cells of Krusnik though still no new information about her father.

🥀 News of the Black Order rebellion has her coming back to Kaisou though, concerned about the Krusnik kids there now that there's a massive power vacuum. Totally not realising that they took part in it.

AU Personality Differences: A bit less aggro towards gods, however she still doesn't have the best opinion of them considering Krusnik's aspirations and the expectations forced on her. Will probably still try to fight them.

While she has a lot of guilt over her involvement in Krusnik, the fact that some of the kids lived and are managing to lead normal(ish) lives lessens a lot of her anxiety. They're safe and strong, so she has no massive inclination to go on revenge rampages... Except against Dumah. Fuck that guy.

✦ Anastasia also spent a couple of months in Upcycle, a game based on a foggy island known as South Sister. While her time there was short, it did allow her chances to branch out to others, though she never became particularly close to anyone. There is a more of a willingness to become closer to others, however. One encounter also lessened her vindictive nature towards gods, but she's still more likely to brandish her weapon at them than anything else.

Personality:

Strengths
✦ Driven: When she has her mind set on a goal, she doesn't hesitate to do anything to achieve it. Even if the task is something difficult, she'll always preserve and make sure to give her all to it as well. This can extend from wanting to kill a god to something as simple as learning something new, no task is too big or too small for complete dedication.

✦ Optimistic: She is very much someone who's cheerful and always aims to look on the brighter side, despite how roughly she may speak sometimes. It's hard for her to be upset and depressed, and any setbacks will only just encourage her to try even harder. It's this optimism that helps her through fighting Titans and recent revelations with the Grigori, certain that things will be fine in the end.

✦ Open-minded: Due to her history, Anastasia tends to be very accepting of others with darker or murky pasts. She was accepted by her friends and former partner despite what she did, so she wants to be able to extend that to others. While she's not the kindest person, she'll only ever judge someone based on her present impressions of them. Unless they're a God, of course.

✦ Loyal: When it comes to those she cares about, Anastasia is incredibly loyal. She doesn't hesitate to aid them in anyway, and is always willing to protect them or fight by their side. Her loyalty is practically unshakable as well, and once she's fond of someone, she will do anything she can to assist them.

Weaknesses
✦ Amoral: Morality is a shaky issue for Anastasia, with her morals mostly based on the values and thoughts of her two dear friends. Otherwise she's far more concerned with her immediate interests, uncaring of how things she does can affect others; for example, she plans to kill a widely worshipped deity, uncaring of the repressions this may have on their worshippers. As long as she gets what she wants, she doesn't really care about the actions she has to take.

✦ Obstinate: While she's loyal and listens to her friends, this isn't something she extends to others. It's rare for Anastasia to really heed the words of others, and if it goes against what she currently wants, she's unlikely to listen. She can be very set in her ways and won't hesitate to bulldoze over others, ignoring their opinions in the process. If you're not important to her, she won't really care about what you have to say.

✦ Emotional: Anastasia is someone who wears her heart on her sleeve, but this also means she's quick to make highly reckless or dangerous decisions. Her emotions tend to overrule any logical decisions, and she's very much driven by them - especially since her current motivator is the hatred she has for her father and their creator. This makes her unpredictable and chaotic, especially considering her tendency to only listen to her friends.

✦ Violent: When confronted with an obstacle or issue, Anastasia's first solution would be to use violence to solve it. She has been raised as a weapon, and so it's something she's comfortable she's with, almost too much so. She also happily fights if given the chance, and may at times escalate situations so that a fight will break out. It's something she revels in, and she has no desire to pursue any peaceful routes unless it's something her friends or loved ones request.

Greatest Motivation
Her greatest, at least outward, motivation is to kill her father and their god - having decided to devote her life to this after the death of her mother. It both stems from anger over what happened to her mother, and also outrage over how she and her siblings are experiments; wishing to put an end to her father causing more suffering. Inwardly, she desires a place to belong. But considering how her end goal may result in her death, it's not something she wants to acknowledge.

Mundane Interests
Anastasia very much enjoys making clothes, enough so that she has her own budding brand. She also greatly enjoys learning new things, especially anything science related, and attempting to learn the guitar.

New Situations
Anastasia is very curious, so her immediate approach to a new situation is to explore as much as possible. She also wouldn't hesitate to speak to others, trying to learn more of the situation and also just the general scope of what's going on. And of course if there's any enemies, she will immediately attempt to fight them, mostly to gauge their strength and what they are.

Her wings are able to grant her bursts of speed, and a punch from Anastasia can easily shatter and splinter solid rock, or crumple steel and iron. Also takes her longer to get tired, and is able to take hits that would usually kill humans with little issue. Also has some regeneration, though more serious wounds will take time to recover from. And her regen means she can't be poisoned, drugged or get drunk despite her best attempts.
✦ Tainted Holy Magic: As a nephilim, she would have similar holy abilities as angels - holy magic, exorcising unholy entities and conducting blessings (miracles such as healing, making an item holy). However, as she has rebelled, her magic is tainted - she instead harms holy beings with her magic, has the ability to repel all no matter their alignment and her 'blessings' would instead cause injuries, curse items for bad luck, or make things toxic. She can also 'leech' off dark/tainted/bad in general magic or energies - basically absorbing it to empower her, so she can technically exorcise something but rather than blessing it she takes the power into herself.

Her voice will also become odd and distorted, sounding as if it's coming from a static-ridden radio.

What is their greatest negative emotion towards an object, situation, or person in their past?:

Despite all her good cheer, she actually harbors an intense hatred towards her father, and by extension, their creator. Enough so that her sole desire is to kill them both.

While it initially started as a desire for revenge after the death of her mother at the hands of her father, it eventually grew and grew as she became more aware of the circumstances of her birth and the status of their creator. She was born to be a tool, to draw out an absent god due to how innately unnatural her existence is - a god who has abandoned them for years and driven their angels to desperate measures as a war wages on.

So more like her are born, each more and more traumatized and inhumanized in a fruitless attempt to bring back a being who no longer cares. She hates her father for forcing more woman to bear her siblings, sometimes leading her to fight and kill them due to how rigid their morality is. She hates their god for leaving them behind even as the world trembles under the Titans escaping Tartarus and for being the catalyst for all of this. So now Anastasia wants to kill them both, to put an end to all of this for good.

How aware are they of this negative emotion, and how do they act on it in canon?:

Very aware, it's basically one of her main motivators.

All she wants is to kill them both, and it's a goal she's set her eyes on. She has little care of the ramifications this may have on herself or on humanity, and she even views worshipers of the god with scorn. It's their own fault for worshiping a deity like that, after all. Anastasia has accepted that she will likely die in the process, and she even broke off a relationship that genuinely made her happy just because she knew she couldn't be dissuaded from her chosen path. It's a hatred she's fully embraced, to the point where she can only see her life ending once she has her vengeance. It's gotten to the point where she can and will kill her half-siblings if they get in her way, despite her reluctance to do so.

What is their greatest virtue?:

Despite her utter devotion to her goal, her strongest virtue is actually her loyalty to her friends.

Sonali and Ran, her two travel companions, are also her closet friends and confidants. So deeply does she care for them that she'll basically do anything she has at the drop of a hat, and will immediately protect them from any harm. Simply because they accepted her for who she is and was, and still extend their friendship to her.

It's something that means a lot to Anastasia, especially after having lost her family and partner, so she clings onto these connections desperately. While she tends to be emotionally distant from most due to her goals and also just not wanting to be emotionally vulnerable, she does become deeply attached once she manages to befriends someone. She'll go to the ends of the world and back for them, and will usually put their safety and happiness above all else. They help her feel like a person who means something, and not just some mindless tool like her father wanted.

How aware are they of their virtue, and how do they act on it in canon?:

Not very aware of it, at least consciously.

While she knows she cares for her friends, she doesn't realize just how deeply it runs. They're able to easily get her to deviate from whatever she might be doing, despite how stubborn and bullheaded she would be towards anyone else. They are, at times, what stop her from doing anything potentially dangerous simply out of their care for her - and her loyalty to them means she doesn't hesitate to heed their advice. To Anastasia, it seems obvious she would listen to them since she trusts them completely and so sees no reason why she shouldn't. It will take her time to realize that, despite planning to eventually die, that it might not be something she wants due to how much it would upset her friends. Her emotional awareness is still rather stunted, but she can at least admit they're very important to her.

Her loyalty to Ran and Sonali also mean that they're able to reign her in during her more... chaotic and whimsical moments, since a girl being introduced to the world properly is going to be curious and get into everything. If they tell her not to go somewhere or not to do something, she'll stop with some pouting while with everyone else she would simply brush them off. She also entrusts her budding fashion brand to Sonali, letting him act as the public face so she doesn't have to deal with it, since she knows it's in capable hands. Because of how deeply her feelings run for them, it's easy for her to do things like this since she knows they won't do anything to harm her, and they know she won't do anything to them in return. It's why they trust her with their goals and ideals, opening up to her like she does for them.

Her lack of awareness of this is also due to how closely their goals align, considering they all have reason to fight against the titans and gods. Since they're all working together, there's no reason why she shouldn't do things for them, not yet realizing it's mostly due to how much she cares for them. Protecting them and defending them, basically being the tank of the trio, won't help her achieve her goal faster but she can't bear the thought of seeing them harmed. Her loyalty is basically unwavering and unflinching in the face of everything, despite how she doesn't even realize it.

PERSONAL HISTORY
✦ Anastasia was born in a small French village, to a woman named Eloise who worked as a Hunter for the church - her Father is a nameless angel, who had 'blessed' the woman to have his child. In doing so, he decreed that Eloise would raise the girl to become a Hunter and deal with demons as the church decrees.

✦ Due to her heritage, Anastasia was born a nephilim - something only mentioned in myths and rumours. However, she was able to pass as a winged human, due to the lack of angelic qualities. It's only in dangerous situations that she lets her angelic blood come to the forefront, letting her become an angel as seen in stories.

✦ Under the tutelage of her mother Eloise, Anastasia learned a number of ways to fight and handle her abilities - as well as a trade to act as a public front. The only time Father appeared during this time was to 'bless' Anastasia with her weapon, Rosarium, which would allow her to attack those considered unholy by their God. Once she was 18, she finally became a Hunter of the church and was sent out to hunt demons as appointed by her superiors and messages sent by Father - something she did happily, feeling as though what she's doing is right.

✦ One day, through self-flogging over being unable to track her targets and starvation from not eating while so focused on her tasks, Anastasia ended up collapsing. She was taken in by a small village within the French alpines - the residents being demons that she was tasked with hunting. For the first few days, too stunned by their aid and unwilling to face anything that went against her teachings, Anastasia lashed out and staunchly refused their help.

✦ After some time passed, a demon named Arterius eventually confronted Anastasia over her attitude and beliefs, resulting in a fierce argument that ended up with the nephilim crumbling under her despair and guilt, when she realised those she killed before may have been completely innocent. From there, she put herself together and decided to do her best to atone for what she had done, now throwing herself into helping around the village as much as possible. Days turned into weeks turned into months, and it's around this time that feelings start to grow between Arterius and Anastasia.

✦ But after running errands outside the village, Anastasia comes back to carnage - and another nephilim that had decided to finish what Anastasia was supposed to have started. Despaired over how there's others like her killing innocent people, and outraged over how those under her protection had been hurt, Anastasia lashes out at the other nephilim. Seeing them too far gone, she decides to kill them - gaining the edge over them by using her fully angelic form and weapon, where they refused to. In doing so, she becomes tainted - now becoming a fallen half-angel, over the tainting of her faith and how she attacked another holy being. And while not everyone is killed, she decides to leave the village, ending her relationship with Arterius, and return home. Now discarding her church mantle, to ask her parents why she and others like her are killing innocents.

✦ Her journey back is wrought with attacks by titanspawn, the influence of the titans escaping their prison spreading. It's in dealing with these titanspawn that she meets Sonali Vyas and Ran Xing Lian, two figures who become greatly important to her. Together, they return to Anastasia's home village - only to find her mother dead. Yet she has no time to mourn, as her Father is quick to appear before her, scolding Anastasia for being a failure and that her mother was useless if she couldn't raise an ideal child.

✦ It's here when her Father reveals the truth - that the birth of the nephilim has two purposes; to remove any obstacles in their Lord YHWH's way, innocent or not - and to disturb the natural order enough to draw them back, as YHWH abandoned them years ago. Decreeing that he can just birth more like her, her Father vanishes - with Anastasia outraged, deciding that she will kill her father and YHWH, so that no more nephilim like her will be born and other villages like the one that saved her won't be destroyed. Sonali, being a demigod, advises they can journey to the 'overworld' where gods retreat to. This brings the first hint that not all seems to be as myths and stories says, as the angels YHWH created are placed into a pocket dimension of their own creation. There is no heaven or hell, just realms where entities are trapped or where they go back to.

✦ The journey to the 'overworld' is wrought by attacks from titanspawn, as the titans soon wage war once more on the various gods. In trying to make their way to the 'overworld', they encounter one of the Grigori Avatars. They force it into giving them information, by making it so a titanspawn attacks them and they have to defend themselves, breaking their rule of neutrality. From here, they learn the origin of Ran's spear, and that there is far more to their world and universe that they ever knew.

PERSONALITY:
A confident and bold young woman, Anastasia very much seems like the kind of person who wears her heart on her sleeve and doesn’t have a shy bone in her body. There’s little hesitation when talking to or approaching people, and she has such a cheerful disposition that it’s rare to see her depressed or forlorn. Maybe huffy or annoyed, considering how fiery her temper is, but never truly upset.

And while her confidence, her cheer, are all truly part of herself, they are also used to obscure the more darker aspects of her personality. Of someone consumed by guilt and a drive to kill those who wronged her, no matter the cost and no matter who may be affected by what she plans to do. When one plans to kill a god, they will also upset or ruin the lives of their worshippers - Anastasia knows this, and yet she doesn’t care. It’s a price to be paid, and in her mind, it’s their own fault for following a god such as them. Because if there’s one aspect of her that still lingers from her years as a church Hunter, it’s her intense pursuit of her task - she will now dally and relax if she needs to and wants to, but she will achieve her goals and she won’t let anything stop her.

Since, when it comes down to it, Anastasia is incredibly and undoubtedly stubborn. There’s only two people she will listen to unconditionally, and most other times, she will listen to someone if they offer her something or endear themselves to her. And only until she tired of listening to them, before going to do whatever it is she wants. After so long of obeying the whims of her parents with no question, she is now fiercely protective of her ability to choose and do what she wants - it’s something she won’t allow to be taken from her again. She’s a strong believer in following your own free will, and she won’t react kindly seeing someone forced to serve someone else. It’s truly a sign of trust from her, if Anastasia will listen to you without some sort of payment - Ran and Sonali are the only ones who have earned this, and so are the only ones to reign her in.

Because when you have a woman able to do what she wants after years of mindlessly obeying, you have someone incredibly curious and very into everything. Now free to do her own thing, she can be incredibly reckless - especially since she knows she’s hardier than a typical human - and so she gets into everything and anything she can. If there’s something new, she wants to experience it all for herself. This also means she’s a bit of a bookworm, absorbing any texts she can find, wanting to find out as much as she can - especially since her schooling was…. Lacking. She’s not the most booksmart around, but she makes up for it with enthusiasm and a genuine interest in everything. This also extends to physical affection, after years of being starved of it and now being close to someone who shares their excitement with kisses - she has little issues holding hands or grabbing someone, if the mood strikes her and sees herself little reason to be shy about it. And at times forgetting there are those more withdrawn than her. Though anything beyond hand holds or hugs is a ground she won’t tread, both due to not wanting to be that close to people, and also because she does know some boundaries. She isn't the most emotionally open to others, and prefers to keep certain aspects of herself hidden away - either for her own comfort, or because she prefers not to drag others down with her own issues, especially as she still struggles with her guilt.

Though morality is still a shaky subject for her, and she’s very grey at best. She’s selfish and looks after her own, uncaring about the troubles of others unless they affect her - yet, if someone is in dire need, she won’t hesitate to extend her aid to them. She is aware of her crimes and still pushes herself to atone for them, yet won’t allow herself to be dragged down by it - viewing as being consumed by her guilt and despair a waste of time, when she can do something about it. She could feel disgust over her heritage, yet instead she views it as an advantage - a way to fight back against those who used her, and she shows pride in it. And her guilt still doesn’t deter her from using violence if necessary, always more than happy to fight out a problem rather than talk. Fighting and killing was what she was raised to do, and she’s good at it - but now she tries to use these skills to help her friends, more than anything else.

Because when it all comes down to it, Anastasia knows she owes a lot to her friends and the people who cared for her. And for the people she cares for, she is a fierce and loyal companion, and at times borders on overprotective. They accept her for who she is and what she’s done, and so she will lay down her life for them - and while she doesn’t open up easily, anyone who can earn her affection will have someone loyal to them for life. Especially since Anastasia is incredibly accepting of all, wanting to offer others the same chances that were given to her.

POWERS/ABILITIES:
Anastasia is a half-angel, known in her world as a 'nephilim'. This grants her a number of abilities that a normal human wouldn't possess, such as;

✦ Enhanced Physiology: Far strong and faster than a normal human. Her wings are able to grant her bursts of speed, and a solid punch from Anastasia can easily shatter and splinter solid rock, or dent steel and iron. Also takes her longer to get tired, and is able to take harder hits than humans - along with some minor regen.
✦ Tainted Holy Magic: As a nephilim, she would have similar holy abilities as angels - holy magic, exorcising unholy entities and conducting blessings (miracles such as healing, making an item holy). However, as she has rebelled, her magic is tainted - she instead harms holy beings with her magic, has the ability to repel all no matter their alignment and her 'blessings' would instead cause small injuries, curse items for bad luck, or make things toxic.
✦ Flight: Her wings enable her to fly until she tires out, which takes a while due to her stamina. Also has very fluffy and soft feathers.
✦ Sensing: Anastasia is able to sense if someone is human or not/has supernatural or magical properties, though her powers are more specific in regards to beings considered 'holy' or 'unholy'. If someone possesses magic, she would be able to sense that but not what they are exactly, but she can easily pick up on other angels or demons.
✦ Angelic Form: A form where her angel bloodline comes to the forefront. While it's a very sparkly and pretty form, she is much more deadly - she moves faster, and hits much harder. Her 'holy' magic is far more potent, able to create a toxic miasma and create large shields that can block strong magic. Her voice will also become odd and distorted, sounding as if it's coming from a static-ridden radio.
✦ Angelic Weapon "Rosarium": A gold staff covered in bloodstains and thorns. Was once a holy weapon, until Anastasia rebelled - now the thorns will attack anyone that Anastasia commands it to, and the staff remains permanently stained in blood.

Her training under her mother also means that Anastasia is a very skilled fighter, proficient in a number of weapons and knows how to defend herself against a variety of entities. Anastasia is very much the tank of the trio, and has little issue with fighting dirty if it grants her the upper-hand.

Also skilled with a needle and thread, thanks to her training to be a couturier. She can play the guitar too, though her singing is horrific.

INVENTORY: The clothes on her back and Rosarium, her weapon which is now a part of her. Also has her handbag containing: a (now useless) mobile phone, a mini make-up kit with brushes and face wipes.
